Special Events 2023-24

This year's UMWC art exhibit is on now:

16-May 30 UMWC Art Exhibit

Location: St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 2136 Carter Ave, St. Paul (Call the church at 651-645-3058 for hours of operation.)

This year's guest artist is Jodi Eineichner

She says, “As an emerging intuitive painter self-taught during the pandemic, my abstract art reflects both the happy, little moments that bubble up, and the thoughtful serenity found in the moment. Just as nature can be influenced, but never fully controlled, that is how I paint. Fluid colors are influenced with the fingers, breath, heat, and gravity. Layers sink or bubble up. New media and additional layers of color add interest. The results are organic, emotive, evolving. These pieces are a gentle reminder to enjoy both the blessings of what is present around us and yet, if needed, to try and try again, but either way to always let your JoyFlow.” Jodi shared that painting gives her joy and that is why she named her business JoyFlow. She is self-taught, uses paint as thin as water, and typically paints large paintings. She had her first show last year and the UMWC Art Show is her first gallery show.
