Modern Literature
2026-2027
We enjoy reading and discussing all kinds of literature. That includes novels, mostly, and plenty of historical fiction, some non-fiction, mysteries,
light, fun reading, an occasional classic novel and sometimes a political thriller.
Our Zoom meetings work well since some of us don’t drive any more and none of us actually want to drive in the Minnesota winter snows. We stay cozy at home with a cup of coffee and our Modern Lit friends on Zoom where we can learn about new or old authors and share our various ideas or questions about the books we read.
Meetings are held September through May, with a planning meeting in April for the next season. Members take turns presenting author biographies and book reviews. It is best to join us using a laptop or desktop monitor; the larger the screen, the more members you can see at one time.
Again this year there will be no dues. To receive the Zoom link for a meeting, please email Marian Champlin, Zoom Coordinator, or Clare Engelhart,
Section Chair.
